Amanda Holden branded 'not normal' as she reveals her favourite breakfast

While some may love their eggs scrambled with a side of bacon, Amanda Holden prefers them hard boiled with a drizzle of Marmite - but many have called her out for her attack on breakfast cuisine.

The judge was gearing up for another episode of this Tuesday, November 5, 2024, but before she could, was met with a camera to demonstrate how she ate the surprising breakfast snack.

Many of Amanda's 2.3 million followers cringed as Amanda, 53, squeezed some onto the top of a hard boiled egg, saying: "I don't understand why everyone thinks this is a gross thing to do. This is my favourite thing to do."

Delighted as she celebrated the return of the squeezy Marmite bottles, Amanda then bit into the egg exclaiming: "Oh my God. Try it." But her fans were having none of it.

"Not normal", one of Amanda's admirers bluntly replied in the comment section. Others were more appalled by her use of Marmite, which is notoriously divisive: "Eggs yes, but marmite a definite no, but then I am allergic to it", another Instagram user added. "Absolutely not", a third chimed in, paired with a laughing emoji. A fourth echoed: "Wrong on so many levels."

However, some of Amanda's fans were curious about the combination: "Yes! Not directly on the egg but I have it on the toast I have with the egg. Delicious!", one argued. Another wrote: "It’s the best taste scrambled eggs on toast with marmite too deeebloodylicous." One final Instagram user continued: "Actually that looks nice.. I normally put salt on boiled egg. This is better!"

This comes after Amanda showed off while celebrating Halloween with her daughter Hollie in the United States. The TV star and 12-year-old soaked up the sun while spending half-term in Beverly Hills, California, and they were joined by friends for the holiday. Amanda shared a snap on social media, while wearing a black and white striped blazer with a black lace bralette. She paired the blazer with a miniskirt and thigh-high black boots, finishing off the look with a green wig.
