are back in action when they travel to Everton on Saturday. Mikel Arteta's side have found an impressive bit of recent form, winning back-to-back Premier League matches for the first time since February.
The Gunners earned a 1-0 win over Chelsea before the international break and . Mikel Merino and the returning Bukayo Saka found the net for Arteta's men as they beat Marco Silva's Whites to move nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
Although Liverpool pushed that gap back up to 12 points with a 1-0 win against Everton on Wednesday, the title race is still far from over. The news that is no doubt a blow but the Gunners will still have hope that they can overturn the deficit with eight to go.

Elsewhere, there is an increasing amount of transfer speculation falling on the Gunners ahead of the summer transfer window, with several players linked. Here is the latest news from the Emirates...
Williams wage demandsAccording to , Nico Williams' representatives would expect him to be earning a similar amount at Arsenal to Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka - all of whom are said to receive around £250,000 per-week.
Williams was linked with a move to north London after his exploits for Spain last summer but he instead stayed at Athletic Club. Now, the Gunners are renewing their efforts to sign the 22-year-old, who has a £50m release clause.
Andrea Berta has held talks with the forward's representatives in one of his first acts as the club's sporting director. Williams has scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 38 matches this season.
FL says: While signing a striker and a defensive midfielder should be Arsenal's priority, bringing in a new left winger wouldn't go amiss. Gabriel Martinelli has been inconsistent this season, while Leandro Trossard hasn't been at his best, and Williams would no doubt strengthen their forward line.
He has attributes that can improve many a team. His pace is frightening, his dribbling skills are exceptional, and he has an eye for a goal. Williams could help take Arsenal to the next level and I think he should be at the top of their shopping list if they want to sign a left winger this summer.
Eze interestArsenal are set to battle it out with Liverpool for Eberechi Eze in the summer with speculation surrounding his future intensifying. The Crystal Palace star is said to have a £60million release clause and have claimed that the Gunners and Liverpool are the 'main suitors' for the playmaker.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are all also keen on the 26-year-old, who has scored six goals and added nine assists in 32 matches this season.
FL says: For me, Arsenal need to prioritise signing a centre forward and a defensive midfielder, but if they have the budget to work with I don't see why Eze wouldn't be a brilliant addition. The England international can play in a number of positions, including out wide on the left and in the No.10 role.
Eze can deputise for Martin Odegaard if the Norwegian is absent again, while he can also play on the left of the front three. Although Eze is set to turn 27 in June, the Gunners can still get a good couple of years out of him at his peak and I do think he can be a difference-maker at the top end of the pitch.
