Chelsea transfer target Jamie Bynoe-Gittens made history in the Champions League against Real Madrid last night. The England youth international became the youngest ever English player to score against Los Blancos in the Champions League.
Donyell Malen gave the Bundesliga outfit the lead at the Santiagio Bernabeu before got in on the act with the second goal of the evening. However, that was as good as it got for Nuri Sahin's side as Real Madrid mounted a comeback.
Carlo Ancelotti's side ran out 5-2 winners after a scintillating second-half display with Vinicius Junior grabbing a hat-trick. Despite the defeat, it was an impressive first-half display from the German side, with the transfer target grabbing his fifth goal of the campaign.
So far this season, the 20-year-old has eight goal contributions in 11 appearances in all competitions, with four of those coming in the Champions League. The Blues are among a number of Premier League sides linked with Byneo-Gittens, who is following in the footsteps of Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho.
Earlier this week German outlet Bild, claimed Borussia Dortmund have slapped a £83.4million asking price on the in-form winger, a dramatic £30million increase from the price they set this summer. Liverpool, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are all keeping tabs on Gittens, who spent time in Chelsea's youth set-up before moving to Manchester City.
Gittens, who signed for Dortmund in 2020 from Manchester City enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign last season, with 34 appearances in all competitions in 2023/24 as Dortmund reached the Champions League final.
