EastEnders Denzel Danes actor's heartbreak as he shares tragic family news

Jaden Ladega, famed for his role as Denzel Danes in , has shared a poignant update on about the loss of his beloved aunt Marie.

In an emotional post dated Sunday 20 October, the soap star, who stepped into the spotlight in August 2022 as Howie and Delilah Danes' son, penned: "This is hard to put into words. My great Aunty Marie was a true fighter and great women she will be missed deeply by me and all my family she always pushed me to do well and supported me Rest in Peace Aunty Marie."

Fellow cast members have rallied around Ladega during this tough time, with , who plays his step-mother in the show, commenting: "Sorry for your loss Jaden. May your Aunt Rest in Peace. She will always be remembered by you and your family and you continue your make her proud. She saw you grow up in to a fine young man. Love to you and your family."

Earlier this year, Ladega's character was at the centre of a significant plotline when Denzel was wrongfully detained on suspicion of distributing Class C substances, leading Nugget to the hospital after steroid abuse, resulting in dramatic confrontations within the Danes family.

Back in July, Jaden took a much-needed break from the soap to bask in the Turkish sunshine, and many fellow vacationers didn't clock on to who they were paddling with until they spotted his snaps on Instagram. Jaden posted images of his getaway on his socials, captioning them: "Had some mad nights here."

Fans who had been at the same resort soon swarmed the comments, with one posting: "Just come back yesterday from holiday I was with a lovely boy so so lovely only just found out who he is," and another chimed in: "Omg my sister sent me a selfie of you and her on holiday, said your staying in the same hotel, so jealous.", reports .

Another snap from Marmaris in Turkey featured Jaden posing pensively beside stunning azure waters and a sneak peek of a boat.

The actor penned: "Marmaris you've been great! This week while being in Marmaris I have had a lot of time to reflect on everything in my life that I am grateful for. While looking out into the sea I reflected on how grateful I am for all of my family and friends and everyone that has an impact on my life without any of these people I wouldn't be who I am today."
