As well as the excitement of getting nearer to the ultimate European silverware, the progression to the semi-final also brings financial rewards for Arsenal.
Just for making the group stage of the competition, teams are awarded €18.62 million (£15.6m). Every win in the group stage is worth €2.1 million (£1.7m), with each position in the table worth another €275,000 (£230,000).
The top eight teams in the league also earned a €2 million (£1.6m) bonus.
Therefore, thanks to six wins and a third place finish, the Gunners earned £38.64 million from the group stage alone.
Reaching the semi-final stage of the competition bags them an extra £12.7 million. That will therefore take their earnings so far to £51.34 million, that will only increase if Arsenal get to the final.
The runners-up of the competition earn £15.6 million, while the winner bags £21.1 million.
The extra money could come in handy for Arsenal, especially with the summer transfer window quickly approaching.
