JB Gill and new Strictly partner head to rehearsals after Icons Week dance revealed

and his new partner have been spotted heading to rehearsals ahead of Saturday's show.

The JLS star, 37, and Lauren Oakley, 33, will be performing for the first time in the live programme after the professional dancer stepped in to take over from , 34, who was rushed to hospital last weekend after collapsing back stage.

While the Welsh star, who is still recovering from cancer, rests, JB and Lauren are gearing up for Icons Week, where they'll do their best to make Amy proud, dancing to a Bruno Mars medley, which will feature tracks, including 24K Magic.

Sporting a black tracksuit and trainers, carrying bags full of magazines and snacks - and what looked to be a red costume - JB looked deep in thought as he made his way into the rehearsal studio today. Lauren, meanwhile was all smiles as she collected a Starbucks delivery, wrapped up warm in a black puffer jacket, loose-fitting trousers and Doctor Marten boots.

The couple have a lot to do before Saturday's show as they get used to dancing with each other for the first time. Strictly fans were worried on Sunday when Amy was absent from the results show following her heath scare just moments after the live episode aired on One.

Thankfully, it has been confirmed that Amy is "doing much better" but will not be taking part in this week's show. Strictly bosses will then make a decision on the dancer's condition, according to reports. A spokesperson said: “Amy Dowden MBE is doing much better and the Strictly family send her love and wish her well. She is delighted that fellow professional dancer, Lauren Oakley, is able to step in for rehearsals and to perform in Saturday’s show for JB Gill’s Couple’s Choice dance. We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week.”

Amy's celebrity dance partner, , shortly after her health scare.
