You'll need sharp vision to spot this hidden object.
There's nothing quite like a good to dust off the cobwebs in your brain and get the cogs turning again. There are all sorts of out there, and each of them tests your brain differently, from logic puzzles to problem-solving.
Strengthening all of these areas is important for healthy brain development, as they all help to improve the connections between your brain cells and keep things like dementia at bay.
One key area we often need to train is our perception. This helps us locate things in the around us, keeps us alert, and can be key in identifying problems that need fixing. So if you're in the market for a perception-testing puzzle, why not give this one a go?
Take a look at the post above. At first glance, the picture looks like an absolute mess. There's so much happening and if you look at it for too long, it may make your eyes hurt as the patterns all begin to merge into one.
But you must keep studying the image, as somewhere in among the swirls of colour is a very specific item - the lead from a pencil. The person who posted the image explained the photo shows their carpet where they accidentally lost their pencil lead when dropped on the floor.
So, can you find where the lead is hiding? It's tricky to make any sort of progress with the image, and it might look as though there's nothing but carpet in the photo, but we promise it's there somewhere.
Got it now? If you're struggling, keep trying! We're about to tell you the answer, so avoid scrolling any further if you don't want the puzzle spoilt for you.

AnswerThe lead is hiding just above the centre of the image. You might need to zoom in to see it clearly, but if you go to the centre of the photo, the pencil lead should be diagonally up to the left - at about 11:00 if you picture a clock. It looks to be a long stick of lead like you might find in a mechanical pencil.
If you were really observant, you might have also found something else hiding in the image. On the opposite side of the centre, at about 2:00 on a clock face, there's what appears to be an old staple laying on the carpet, too.
Commenters on the post said they were able to find the staple more easily than the pencil lead, while others had mixed opinions on how tricky the puzzle was.
One person said: "Somehow, I was able to see it before I even opened up the picture. My first time finding something without looking at the comments!" As another added: "Can't believe I found it. That's some loud carpet, looks like TV static."
