Days after winning the US Presidential election in a landslide, President-elect Donald Trump has started shaping his new cabinet, with the first major name being announced on Thursday. Trump has announced that Susie Wiles, one of his two campaign managers, will be his White House Chief of Staff.

What Donald Trump said about Susie wiles“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump said in a statement.
“Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again. It is a well-deserved honour to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud,” he added.

Who is Susie wilesThe 67-year-old Wiles is a long-time Republican strategist who has worked on the electoral campaigns of GOP leaders for decades. She ran Rick Scott’s 2010 campaign for Florida governor, and, for a brief period, served as the manager of former Utah governor Jon Huntsman’s 2012 presidential campaign. Wiles also ran Trump’s campaigns in Florida in 2016 and 2020.
The daughter of NFL player and sportscaster Pat Summerall, Wiles has worked largely behind the scenes for Republican leaders since the 1970s and was Ronald Reagan's White House scheduler when he was president.

According to analysts, during the presidential election campaign, Wiles was able to help control Trump’s worst impulses by earning his respect and showing him that he was better off when he followed her advice rather than flouted it.
