Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is set to hold an essential security review meeting today at his residence in Mumbai, with participation from senior police and administrative officials.
CM Devendra Fadnavis hosts a meeting at his official residence ‘Varsha’ in Mumbai to discuss security protocols in light of the current circumstances, involving the DGP, senior Home Department officials, and other high-ranking officers from different agencies and departments. DCM Eknath Shinde also in attendance.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis also innaugurated Phase 2A of Mumbai Metro 3 from BKC to Acharya Atre Chowk (9.77 km) adding to the already existing Aarey JVLR to BKC (12.69 km) was started in Oct 2024.
Rajasthan CM Conducts High-Level Meeting
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a high-level meeting to bolster security in border districts amid rising tensions. Former CM Ashok Gehlot voiced support for the armed forces, urging public calm. Following the interception of Pakistani drones in Jaisalmer, the Chief Minister stressed vigilance and ordered improved security measures, including canceling government employees' leave.
Reports of loud explosions and blackouts emerged from Bikaner, Jammu, and Amritsar. Gehlot advised residents to stay calm and alert, emphasizing unity against terrorism. He highlighted the army's readiness to respond and proclaimed confidence in India's strength and determination in this decisive battle against terrorism.
