In another incident of assault on a traffic cop in Pune, a man was caught on video holding the officer by the collar during a routine vehicle check.
The incident occurred near Navale Bridge in Narhe area of Pune while the police were conducting checks for drunk driving.
The intoxicated man reportedly became aggressive, holding the officer by the collar. The police quickly detained the man, and further action is being taken.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Crush 542 Modified Bullet Silencers
Recently, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have taken action against more than 4,800 vehicle owners for installing modified silencers on their motorcycles. On Tuesday, they crushed 542 modified Bullet silencers with a road roller. The action has been taken with the intent to curb noise pollution and enforce road safety regulations.
As per the official data, from January 1 to April 10, a total of 4,853 cases have been registered against such offenders who illegally modified their vehicles, particularly those who altered the silencers of Bullets, and collected a fine of ₹48.49 lakh.
According to the police, under the jurisdiction of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner, regular action is being taken by the traffic department against such vehicle owners. To crack down on noise pollution, a special drive was conducted at the police headquarters ground under the supervision of Inspector Vishwajeet Khule from the Nigdi traffic division. Following the drive, 542 illegally modified silencers were crushed and destroyed using a road roller.
