If you also do not want to buy ghee from the market during the festive season, then here we are going to tell you an easy way to make ghee from cream at home. So that you can also prepare pure Desi ghee at home and enjoy it by making delicious dishes from it.

Ingredients to make ghee at home
Milk cream (about half a kilo)
Cold water

Method
Making ghee from cream is quite easy. To prepare it, collect about half a kilo of cream. For this, you can remove the layer of cream formed on top of the milk every day and keep it in a bowl. Keep it in the fridge, so that it does not spoil. When you have collected enough cream, then start the process of making ghee. For this, first take out the cream from the fridge and keep it outside, so that it comes to normal temperature.
Now put the cream in a pan and churn it and slowly add cold water. After a while, white butter and whey will separate. After this, take out this butter and put it in a heavy bottom pan and put it on the gas. Keep in mind that the gas should be low.
After this, the butter will slowly start melting and foam will start rising from it. Keep cooking the butter until the foam starts reducing and the butter turns golden. Slowly the water from the butter will evaporate and the ghee will remain at the bottom.
When the ghee starts smelling sweet and its color becomes light golden, then remove it from the flame. Now filter the ghee with a clean muslin cloth or sieve so that the ghee gets separated from the solid matter left in it.
Store this ghee in a clean glass jar or steel vessel. You can use it in the upcoming festivals. While making ghee, keep in mind that the cream you are using should not be too old. Otherwise the taste of ghee can get spoiled.
