Sun Temple of Ranchi
Chhath Puja is performed with great pomp in the Sun Temple located near Bundu, 39 km from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. There is a Sun Temple made of marble here, in which Lord Surya riding on a chariot of 18 wheels and 7 horses is the center of attraction for the devotees. A world-famous Sun Temple in Konark, Odisha, is dedicated to Lord Sun. This temple is built in the shape of a chariot and during the Chhath festival, many devotees reach here to see the Sun God.
