Armed police have swooped on a UK estate after reports of heard and cordons are currently in place.
The incident is on the Bluebell Estate in Huyton, Merseyside, tonight with reports ofbeing seen and a police helicopter circling the estate. There are cordons in place across Alamein Road, Salerno Drive and Tobruck Road with dozens of police officers working inside.
A neighbour said she heard “five gunshots” a few hours ago. She added: “It’s not safe here anymore. It’s a nice area but every now and again there’s a bit of riff raff and something happens again.” Another man also said that he heard gunshots stating: "I thought it was fireworks at first but it didn’t sound the same. I just can’t believe this is happening in broad daylight.”

An air ambulance was seen landing on the Bluebell Estate as emergency services rushed to the scene. There is now a police cordon extending into a park that runs alongside Deena Road, reported the.
And a resident has said she was told to get back in her house by police. She said: “We heard all the sirens and the helicopter. When we came out to have a nose the police screamed at us to get back in the house.”
Many local people have taken to social media to enquire what has happened after hearing sirens. One person wrote: "I heard sirens, seen all the police rushing to the scene. Hope everyone is okay." Another comment on read: "Anyone know whats goin on about 12 police cars have all blue lighted out the station."
There has also been plenty of speculation about the incident and people worried about the area being unsafe. One comment read: "Another stabbing or shooting? OMG in what we live in? Scared to let my son outside , is frustrating he can’t enjoy playing with friends because of all this incidents around this area. And this happens in the daylight imagine what can happen when is dark outside."
Another local wrote: "All this needs to stop horrible everyday someone's been shot or stabbing how can we let are kids go out as its not save." The has contacted for a statement on the incident.
