Kerry Katona's mum rushed to hospital and 'not in good way' as star makes plea

Kerry Katona has pleaded with fans to pray for her mum after she was rushed to hospital following a serious health condition.

The mum of five, 44, took to social media to beg her fans for their support as doctors found a few clots on her lungs. In the video clip, Kerry said: "Excuse the state of me. I haven't been to bed since 3am, not this morning, the day before. I've taken my mum to hospital. I've had no sleep - for those who are aware, thank you all so very much for the messages."

She added: "The hospital found clots on my mum's lungs. She's not in a good way. It's been a very rough over 24 hours and I'm absolutely exhausted. I just want to say that anybody who keeps texting me about work I do apologise, I'm having to put all that on the back foot at the moment. I need some sleep to get back to the hospital to be there for my mum."

The exhausted reality TV star then went on to thank her loyal supporters who have been by Kerry's side for a number of years, through her highs and devastating lows. She went on to say: "But thank you everybody. I'm so sorry I look like sh**e. I've come back to my mum's flat, because it's closer to the hospital, so I can get there."

She then spoke about how scared she was by seeing her mum rushed into A&E and jokingly said she "could throttle" her. Kerry continued: "But I got her to the hospital and that's the main thing. And I stayed with her. It was absolutely exhausting, I need to get some sleep. My mum sends her love to everybody, I asked everybody to say a prayer to keep her strong and keep her fighting."

Kerry captioned the video: "Thank you all for your texts and messages sorry if I’ve not replied but I really need to get some sleep so I can be at my best for my mum. Also the biggest shout out to all the staff nurses and doctors at the hospital you guys are truly amazing and work your asses off so much!."

Immediately after posting the video, fans rushed to the comment section to share their support and well wishes. One person said: "Sending love to you and your Mam." Another fan added: "Much respect we all love you sending kind regards."

A third person added: "Wishing your mum a speedy recovery Kerry." Kerry had been recently staying with her mum after undergoing a procedure to fix her collapsed nose. The star had to have a piece of rib removed in order to rebuild her nose, after it had caved in due to years of drug abuse.

Thanking her mum for looking after her, she wrote in her new! column: "I want to say a massive thank you to my mum, who has been my rock during the last couple of weeks. I’ve been staying at hers and she’s really looked after me.

If I’m honest, I’ve felt more lonely than ever during my recovery. Ryan was away getting a tattoo in London when I went into hospital and I haven’t seen him since my surgery over a week ago." She added: "That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with the emotional support. I’m always the 'strong mum' in our house and this week I really wanted to be looked after and have him here, but I had my mum instead."
