Rajasthan Continues to Sizzle: Heatwave Intensifies Across the State
The summer heat in Rajasthan has reached alarming levels, with mercury soaring above 40°C in most regions. According to the Meteorological Department, the ongoing western disturbance is gradually weakening, reducing the pace of north-westerly winds. As a result, the intensity of heat is expected to rise in the coming days.
Rising Heat, Sleepless NightsResidents are facing a double blow — scorching afternoons and humid nights. While daytime temperatures are pushing people indoors due to excessive sweating and heat stress, the increasing humidity at night is making it difficult to sleep comfortably.
On Monday, Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5°C, and other cities followed suit with similarly high readings. The weather office has warned that daytime heatwave conditions could persist, especially in the afternoon.

The highest temperature was recorded in Churu at 42.2°C, which is 2.5°C above normal. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature was registered in Fatehpur (Sikar) at 17.7°C.
