Success rarely comes overnight—it demands persistence, resilience, and belief in one’s journey. One such story is that of content creator Keshav Maloo, better known by his online persona Sarcaaster, who has earned fame through his unique blend of humor, introspection, and storytelling on social media. From creating viral memes to making videos that touch hearts, Keshav's creative evolution is inspiring, especially for today’s youth chasing unconventional careers.
Hailing from Amritsar, Punjab, Keshav was once expected to take over the family business. His parents, like many in traditional Indian households, hoped their son would walk a secure and well-trodden path. However, Keshav had different plans. He wanted to carve out his own identity—not through business, but through content that connects with people. Initially, this choice didn’t sit well with his family. But over time, they witnessed his dedication and began to support his aspirations.
Before diving into video content, Keshav honed his skills in creating memes, which quickly gained traction online. His knack for sharp wit and relatable humor made him popular among digital audiences. With creativity on his side, he eventually shifted to video content, taking on the role of writer, actor, and editor—essentially a one-man army.
Interestingly, Keshav never pursued acting or media activities during his college years. A computer science graduate from Patiala, he was once torn between becoming a cricketer or an engineer. It wasn’t until later that he discovered his true calling in content creation. In an interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, he shared a proud moment from his journey—when Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor recognized him and said she knew about his work. That validation was a milestone for Keshav, proving just how far his efforts had brought him.
When asked about the shift in his family’s attitude toward his unconventional career, he said with a laugh, "They’re Baniyas—when the money started coming in, the support followed." But jokes aside, he admitted that his parents always wanted the best for him; they just needed to see the potential in what he was doing.
Describing content creation as a 24-hour job, Keshav acknowledged the mental and emotional toll it can take. From scripting to performing and editing, every piece of content demands relentless effort. He also opened up about dealing with demotivation, saying, "I used to get disappointed a lot earlier, but now I’ve learned—each time you fall, you rise even higher."
Among the many videos he's created, one particularly stood out. Keshav once made a viral video explaining the entire Ramayana in just one word—‘Deer’. The clever symbolism captured people’s attention and showcased his talent for saying more with less. The video resonated with audiences and became one of his most beloved pieces of content.
Keshav has also appeared on CarryMinati’s show 'Battle Ground', further cementing his place in India’s digital creator space. With millions of followers on Instagram, Keshav continues to grow his community—one relatable, thought-provoking, and entertaining post at a time.
