British Airways has extended its suspension of flights to Israel amid ongoing regional security concerns. The UK's flag carrier is among a number of airlines that have cancelled Israel amid reports of Yemen's Houthi rebels targeting Ben Gurion Airport in missile strikes.
The Iran-backed group have repeatedly attacked Israel in solidarity with Hamas, the terror group that has run Gaza for decades and is at war with Israel.
Ben Gurion Airport is Israel's main international airport, located around 20km southest of Tel Aviv, and 45km northwest of the capital, Jerusalem.
BA has now confirmed that flights to the country will be grounded until at least August.
A spokesperson said: "The safety and security of our customers and crew is always our priority.
"We continually monitor operating conditions and have made the decision to suspend our flights to and from Tel Aviv, up to and including 31 July.
"We've apologised to our customers for the inconvenience."
