Fans of serial killer Joe Goldberg have been delighted to see him make a return to Netflix this Thursday, with season 5 of You finally dropping. The streaming giant teased the character's return, played by , as they shared a promo picture of the TV villain to social media surrounded by his past victims - but there was one "missing".
The caption teased: "In the end, it all comes back to YOU [blood drop emoji]. S5 is now playing!" Joe had met his match in Love Quinn-Goldberg, played by Victoria Pedretti, in the third season when she turned out to be as evil as he was. But it seems her story came to an end as her life did, as she was "missing" from the poster - hinting that she will not be in the new season.
Fans pointed it out in the comments of 's post. Many asked: "Where is Love?" Someone else quizzed: "Okay but where's Love? It's incomplete without her." One more added: "There's no Love."
Netflix's You season 5 castThe official trailer for season five of You hints at Joe once again struggling to stay loyal in his relationship and failing to suppress his dark side and murderous tendencies. The new season sees Charlotte Ritchie reprise her role as his new wife, Kate Lockwood.
However, as always, Joe struggles to keep his attention on one women which means The Handmaid's Tale star, Madeline Brewer, has now joined the cast as Bronte, Joe's new love interest.
We are also set to see a host of new faces who play the roles of Kate's family. The Flight Attendant actor Griffin Matthews joins season five as Teddy Lockwood, Joe's brother-in-law, while Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp pulls double duty as twin sisters Reagan and Maddie Lockwood.
Other stars in the cast include Pete Ploszek as Harrison, Natasha Behnam as Dominique, the actor known as B as a new character named Phoenix, Tom Francis as Clayton and Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau as Detective Marquez.
It was also previously confirmed that Tati Gabrielle would return as Marienne Bellamy, a former love interest of Joe's, while Amy-Leigh Hickman would return as Nadia Farran, a former student of Joe's who is in prison because of a crime committed by him.
Annika Atwater, who blamed Joe for the death of her friend Peach Salinger, will also make a reappearance, with Kathryn Gallagher taking on the role and Frankie DeMaio will star as Henry, Joe's son.
