Quality Street fans urged to ditch Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's for Aldi

Quality Street fans have been urged to ditch Tesco and Asda for Aldi instead to stock up on the Christmas chocolate favourites this week.

The Nestle favourites, home to the Green Triangle (formerly Noisette Triangle), the Purple One and the coconut one nobody eats, are back on supermarket shelves in a big way right now as families start planning for the festive season, which usually involves copious amounts of chocolate.

Today, Aldi has announced that it's running a special promotion on Quality Street tubs as it took aim at rivals and as well as and .

It has announced a huge price crash, selling 600g tubs of Quality Street for 35 percent less than Asda and Tesco.

But the offer is only on for one week and at this point you have just six more days to grab a cheap tub of chocolates while stocks last.

It said: "ALDI IS SELLING THE CHEAPEST QUALITY STREET TUBS - NOW 35% LESS THAN TESCO AND ASDA!

"Shoppers can stock up on the iconic festive chocolate tubs at Aldi, reduced to just £3.89 each.

"They're the cheapest around, but shoppers will have to be quick

"Christmas has come early as supermarket Aldi is stacking its shelves high and slashing its price of Quality Street (600g) tubs, available now for just £3.89 - the cheapest price amongst all supermarkets.

The sweet deal is now available so savvy Christmas shoppers can stock up early on festive treats and save more than 35% when shopping at Aldi. That beats Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco and Asda (Quality Street £6.00, 600g).

Shoppers buying Quality Street at Tesco might find one other big difference too: paper tubs.

Nestle announced that it would sell a more sustainable Quality Street variety only in Tesco stores this Christmas, with paper replacing plastic with much less damage to the environment.
