A wave of warm is set to boil parts of the UK next month, according to the latest weather maps. By Friday, June 13, Netweather forecasts temperatures will rise sharply, reaching up to around London by mid-afternoon. WX Charts also predicts similarly warm conditions around 6pm on the same day, with temperatures hitting 26C in Kent and 25C in London.
Other areas expected to experience temperatures as high as 23C include parts of Yorkshire, while the mercury will rise to a scorching 26C along the Sussex coast, according to Netweather. Overall, London, Kent, and Sussex are set to be the hottest counties on Friday June 13, the maps show.
The Met Office's long range forecast from June 12 to June 26 hints that temperatures could be hotter than normal as we head into the latter part of June.
It reads: "Changeable weather across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods.
"The wettest conditions are likely to be in the northwest, with the driest weather in the south and southeast. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above normal, perhaps with some hot spells at times, especially across the south."
