Unearthed royal image suggests Meghan Markle copied a significant style icon

The has always had a keen eye when it comes to fashion. It goes without saying that she continues to raise the bar, despite marrying into the monarchy over two decades ago - and it comes as no surprise that appears to have based part of her royal image on wife.

The monochrome look featured a chocolate brown single-breasted blazer with a faint pinstripe. Back then, women rarely wore trousers; it was seen as formal etiquette to wear skirts. She completed the look with a matching skirt, pair of heels and a burgundy velvet hat to match.
