Bhubaneswar: State cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal from the revenue and disaster management department for leasing govt land measuring 40.19 acres in Keonjhar district for the establishment of the north and south campus of Dharanidhar University.
The govt will provide the land in the mouzas of Suleikhamar, Satasingha, Gambharia,and Bramhangaon under Keonjhar tehsil, for free, by waiving non-recurring dues amounting to Rs 140.7 crore and recurring dues of Rs 50.2 lakh. Exemption of the dues will reduce the financial burden on Dharanidhar University, said an official statement from the revenue and disaster management department.
The cabinet also approved a decision to include posts like sub-inspector of traffic-2021 under the State Transport Authority (STA) and sub-inspector excise under the excise commissioner in Schedule-I of the combined recruitment examination of different posts with physical measurement and physical efficiency test rules, 2022.
As per the provision, one post of civil defence instructor/senior store inspector of the home department, will be included in Schedule-I of the 2022 Rules for conducting recruitment in the combined recruitment examination by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
