Kanpur: A man shot an 18-year-old boy who had come to meet his daughter in a village in Etawah on Monday night.

Reports said that Lavkush Pal lived at his brother-in-law Geetendra Pal's residence in Kheda Helu village. During his stay, he developed a love affair with Anil Yadav's daughter Rakhi. Late on Monday night, Lavkush was trying to climb to the second floor of Rakhi's house to meet her when her father saw him and shot him with his licensed weapon killing him on the spot.
Hearing the sound of gunshot the villagers gathered at the location and informed the police. Chaubia SO Vipin Kumar Malik arrested the accused and sent the body for post-mortem examination. On a complaint filed by the victim's brother-in-law, Rajesh Pal, a murder case was registered at Chaubia police station.
According to reports, Anil Yadav had previously warned the youth to stay away from his daughter. However, Lavkush continued to meet her. The investigation revealed that Anil Yadav, being protective of his daughter, was keeping watch over her during night to prevent such meetings.
The atmosphere in Kheda Helu village remained tense following the tragic incident. Local authorities have deployed additional police forces in the village to maintain peace and prevent any potential conflicts between the two families.
