Abhishek Malhan supports Virat Kohli and condemns Rahul Vaidya; says 'Rahul bhai, Virat Kohli doesn't even know you exist'

Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame Abhishek Malhan, who was recently seen in Battleground, has shared his thoughts on the recent spat between Virat Kohli and Rahul Vaidya. The well-known YouTuber voiced his support for the Indian cricketer and took a dig at the singer, calling the controversy a publicity stunt aimed at grabbing attention. A video clip of Abhishek Malhan is doing the rounds on social media where Abhishek is seen criticising Rahul for the entire controversy.

In the video, Abhishek is seen watching Rahul Vaidya's video wherein he took a dig at Virat Kohli for liking Avneet Kaur's photograph. Reacting to the video, Abhishek says, "First of all Rahul bhai, Virat Kohli doesn't even know you exists. Even if he knows, unke paas itna time nahi hai ke woh aapko block karenge Instagram par (he doesn't have time to block you on Instagram)...I've been watching Rahul bhai's video he was posting videos one after the video saying 'saari umra main joker banta raha...' bhai why do you need attention, gaane gao yaar, Virat Kohli se baat kar rahe ho bhai (Just concentrate on singing, you are talking to Virat Kohli. Common yaar...)."

Abhishek further discussed Rahul's video from the airport, complaining paps about Virat blocking him on Instagram, "I saw his video at the airport where he asking the paps to ask Virat why he blocked him...(he is complaining, Virat blocked him on Instagram.) Arre bhai kar diya nahi pasand aayi tumhari shakal, ab batao matlab kuch bhi yaar. Rahul bhai you sing so well, you should concentrate on your singing."

Abhishek Malhan urged Rahul Vaidya to avoid provoking others without reason and suggested that he concentrate on his music career instead. "I respected you a lot but you should not poke someone unnecessarily. The technical glitch has happened with me as well, where it told me Modi ji blocked me, but why will he do it, he doesn't have time to go and block me. Please trust me it was a glitch which happened to you. Virat Kohli ke paas itna time nahi hai ke woh tumhe dhundhega aur block karega. Common bhai thoda real life mein aajao bhai."

For the uninitiated, the incident happened after Virat Kohli's momentary like and quick unlike on Avneet Kaur’s Instagram post dated April 30, 2025, stirred up a storm on social media, triggering widespread buzz and speculation among fans. Rahul Vaidya then posted a light-hearted video suggesting that Virat Kohli might have blocked him on social media, possibly due to an ‘algorithm glitch.’ The singer also appeared to take a subtle jab at the cricketer while addressing the situation. In the video, Rahul revealing that Virat Kohli had blocked him on the platform. While addressing the situation, he took a dig at the Indian cricketer that the block might have been due to a technical glitch and also explained his earlier comment on Avneet’s post.

Referring to Kohli’s statement, Rahul sarcastically said, “Guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, you all know. So I think voh bhi Instagram ki glitch hogi. Voh Virat Kohli ne block nahi kiya hoga. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.’ Haina?”

Virat’s fans didn’t take it lightly and began trolling the singer online. In response, Rahul later voiced his disappointment and frustration over the backlash.
