Being the Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has often opened up about his personal life in interviews, especially about his wife Gauri Khan and their children. One particular funny quirk that he has is that he addresses his wife as 'bhabhi' whenever the two of them go to Delhi. The reason behind this quirk is one funny childhood incident that he narrated during an episode of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' way back in 2016.
SRK took the audience down the memory lane to his days as a youngster in Delhi, recalling an interesting incident in Green Park. He said, 'once I was hanging out with my girlfriend; a bunch of shode boys confronted us' – , he stated,( shode is the Hindi word for idiot). When they inquired SRK about who that girl was, Shah Rukh confidently declared that she was his girlfriend. But the boy retorted that she actually was his sister-in-law. The verbal protestation led to physical fight between them leading Shah Rukh Khan beaten up.
Recalling the incident, he explained that he could not say 'girlfriend' under pressure and, hence, the altercation. He recalls that during the fight, one of the boys threw a piece of clay-ware cup at his face. That phase has strongly imprinted him. Today too, whenever he takes Gauri out to Delhi and some one asks after her, he automatically addresses her as sister-in-law. He jokingly said, "Ab yeh zamana aa gaya hai main biwi ke saath bhi Delhi mein nikalta hoon aur koi poochta hai kaun hai toh main kehta hoon meri bhabhi hai."
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in 'Dunki'(2023) directed by Rajkumar Hirani alongside Taapsee Pannu. Next, he will be seen sharing a screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan in the action thriller 'King' by Sujoy Ghosh. He will also be seen making a guest appearance in 'Stardom' as that is the debut series of his son, Aryan Khan.
