Alicia Taylor reveals she was a part of Miley Cyrus's Hannah Montana tour before her WWE career

WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor has recently reflected on her earlier career before joining the entertainment wrestling industry. She opened up about her extraordinary life path, which was nothing short of rigorous struggle and hard work.

Taylor shared about her journey from being homeless in Los Angeles to the bright lights of WWE NXT. She reflected on how she started her career as a musician first and then joined the wrestling world.

The WWE ring announcer also revealed that she was a part of Miley Cyrus's Hannah Montana tour in 2007, where she featured as a drummer. The Hannah Montana tour in 2007 was the debut concert tour by American pop sensation Miley Cyrus.

WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor shared insights into her journey from the music industry to professional wrestling, recalling her life as a drummer on Miley Cyrus's 2007 Hannah Montana tour.

In a candid and inspiring interview on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor opened up about her extraordinary life path. In the podcast, Taylor shared some deeply personal moments, speaking about her early musical career, wrestling fandom, and the key figures like the Osbourne family and Rhyno, who made a huge contribution to changing her life.



Speaking about her wrestling fandom, Taylor said, “I’ve been a fan since I was like four or five. We’re both yelling at the TV… My grandpa would always made fun of us. He’s like, ‘You know, these guys go and have beer afterwards.’ We’re like, ‘No, they’re not’, and we were so angry about it, but me and my mom would always go to wrestling every time it came to the Saginaw Civic Center.”

Later, she spoke about her initial career days as a musician. She was a drummer who had been a part of the famous Hannah Montana tour in 2007 alongside Miley Cyrus. Acknowledging the fact that she was a part of, Taylor added, “Yea, in the show Hannah Montana, before she started twerking. It was Hannah Montana.”

How WWE star Rhyno helped in her wrestling career
The WWE ring announcer later revealed that after 18 years, she was tired of the music business. Despite her fame, she struggled financially and even lived in her car for a while before Kelly Osbourne and her family helped her get back on her feet. Even WWE star Rhyno played an instrumental role in her career development.




Taylor further revealed, “Rhyno goes to see Smashing Pumpkins. My friend Nicole [Fiorentino] texts me. She’s like, ‘Do you know this guy? I know you like wrestling.’ She sends me a picture of her and Rhyno. We start talking. He’s like, ‘I know your friend from Smashing Pumpkins.’ This is how we met and became friends.” When Rhyno saw her interview show, he asked, “‘Did you ever think about working for WWE?’ I was like, ‘Well, of course, but how am I going to do that? Everybody wants to work for WWE.’ He’s like, ‘Let me show them your stuff.’”

After starting ring announcing in NXT in 2019, Alicia Taylor was promoted to SmackDown's main roster in January 2024. Since then, Taylor has switched to the Raw brand.
