Dutch authorities have arrested Kendra Wilson , 33, a South Carolian fugitive who was wanted in connection with the 2021 murder case of her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, Connor Ethan Floyd , 21, Fox News reported.

Authorities had issued warrants on Kendra and Cynthia Wilson , her mother who was also arrested in the same case, for the charges of murder. Lyman police had already arrested Cynthia Wilson on March 28. Kendra and her daughter were found in a refugee camp. Officials have safely recovered her 4 years old daughter and she will be placed with a foster family until a family member arrives to take custody of her. It is still unclear what kind of ties she had with the Netherlands.

According to a press release by United States Marshall Services (USMS), Kendra fled from the United States after she found she was being charged for the murder of Floyd and became an international fugitive.

"The USMS would like to recognize the outstanding work of the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office in South Carolina on this case, as well as that of the Department of Justice Office of International Affairs," USMS said in its press release. "The Provisional Arrest Request — the legal mechanism to effect Wilson’s arrest in the Netherlands — was put together and executed in about 24 hours."

Floyd’s neighbour Heather said that she still remembers the night she heard gunshots from his house on Aug. 18, 2021. "Me and my son we couldn’t sleep that night, so we decided to watch some late night movies, and then it was getting close to maybe one in the morning, and we heard some gunshots. I’m glad that justice is being served, but it’s sad,” she said. Lyman Police worked with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) , Interpol and the US Marshal’s Service to locate Kendra. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
