Mangaluru: Renowned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev arrived in Mangaluru on Wednesday to participate in the three-day Oriental Studies Conference set to take place in Udupi. Baba Ramdev was invited to inaugurate the event by the revered Paryaya Sri Swamiji of Sri Krishna Matha.
Baba Ramdev was warmly welcomed at the Mangaluru International Airport along with Acharya Balkrishna and Sadhvi Devapriya. The yoga leaders were greeted with great reverence as devotees performed aarti to honour their arrival.
Sri Matha’s international secretary, Prasannacharya, extended the welcome with a floral garland ceremony amidst Vedic chants. Several dignitaries, including entrepreneur Shantish Shetty and Raghavendra Bhat, were present at the airport to receive the guests.
Baba Ramdev’s participation is part of the upcoming yoga sessions and the larger conference promoting ancient Indian knowledge systems.
