Last week, the theaters witnessed a clash between Bhool Chuk Maaf and Kesari Veer, with Rajkummar Rao's comedy film taking the lead. Bhool Chuk Maaf, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is a romantic comedy that incorporates a time loop element. In contrast, Kesari Veer, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty, is a historical war drama. Let's take a look at the box office earnings of both films so far.

Box Office Collection on Day 7: Bhool Chuk Maaf vs. Kesari Veer

As per early estimates from Sacnilk, Bhool Chuk Maaf garnered approximately Rs 3.25 crore on its seventh day, bringing its total earnings to Rs 44 crore. On the other hand, Kesari Veer is facing challenges at the box office, with total earnings barely reaching Rs 1.53 crore, and only Rs 14 lakhs collected on day 7.

Initially, Bhool Chuk Maaf was set to premiere on OTT platforms on May 16 but eventually hit theaters on May 23. Following its theatrical run, the film is expected to be available on Prime Video. The cast also includes notable actors such as Sanjay Mishra, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, Anubha Fateh Puria, Jay Thakkar, and Pragati Mishra in significant roles.

The film stirred controversy when the producers considered a direct OTT release. PVRInox issued a legal notice to Maddock Films and Pen Marudhar after the decision for direct streaming was made. For context, Maddock Films opted for this route due to the prevailing circumstances and increased security measures across the nation.

On the other hand, Kesari Veer features Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Sooraj Pancholi, and Akanksha Sharma, with the film being written and produced by Chauhan Studios.
